The summer months are an exciting time on the Caribbean coast and in the Yucatan jungles. This is the time of year when turtles come to the beaches to lay their eggs and one of the reasons we chose Akumal as the base for this vacation is that you can swim side by side with these majestic but gentle creatures of the sea. Akumal has the best snorkling of the entire coast right from the beach. Akumal is also located just a few minutes from eco-parks, cenotes, underground caves and Maya ruins.
